Yes! We know many families (adults and kids!) are looking for supportive resources right now. We pride ourselves in meeting your needs as soon as possible and are currently accepting families for our Summer Intensive 2023. We encourage you to schedule a free consult to learn more!
Because our coaching services are educational and skill based, and do not replace or represent medical or therapeutic care, we are unable to bill insurance. We are able, upon request, to provide you with a statement of payment and services that you may provide to your tax adviser.
We do accept private payments (check and Venmo) and work with community providers to identify additional resources that could support our services for your family. We also respect your family's individual situation and will work with you to develop a payment plan so getting the help your family needs does not cause any additional barriers.
Plus! We love helping you and would rather do that than insurance paperwork!
Yes. All of this. Whether diagnosed or not, parents and children who experience these symptoms still deserve the education, skills, and encouragement that are needed to live and cope in healthy ways. We've worked with people of all ages who experience these struggles and know how difficult these situations can be. The skills, strategies, and resources we share are research based and specific to the behaviors we observe in-home and learn about from you. Although we are not therapists and do not provide therapeutic care, we know it might take a bigger village to support your family. We may suggest and encourage additional appropriate resources so you are no longer alone in your struggles. We believe all people have gifts and strengths that need to be identified and nurtured and we'll help you on that journey.
You are welcome to meet with Angie by scheduling on the Appointments tab in the menu above. We will meet for up to one hour online or at a location convenient for you. Ideally, this would be an adult-only meeting to share a bit about the challenges and hopes you have. If you'll have little ones around, we make that work too! We'll brainstorm some immediate suggestions and ideas to support you, and talk through next steps. Some parents decide to commit and schedule additional sessions at that time, and some parents think it over and we connect a bit later as a follow-up.
We welcome collaboration and accept referrals from community providers and professionals. You can submit this form, send us an email at timeoutbehaviorcoaching@gmail.com, or give us a call (507.254.7748). We ask that you inform your client or patient before you make a referral to ensure the family is willing to participate. Many thanks!
Our team will then discuss the information provided and match the family with a coach. The coach will contact the family to identify next steps, which includes completing any necessary paperwork. Community professionals can expect coaches to occasionally contact you to continue coordination of care and support.
You can expect progress! Most families will see improvement within the first week, provided they are implementing what their coach teaches and models.
Coaching sessions are unique to your family and will include a mix of education, resources, skills practice, and family activities. You and your coach will determine how and when you meet, which could include online, in-home, or phone.
We know parenting isn't a 9-5 job and we expect needs arise after hours. We pride ourselves in helping you through challenging situations by coaching you via text and phone.
Our coaches have years of personal and professional experience that help them be sensitive to you and your family's needs. We pride ourselves in giving you the right balance of accountability and encouragement, and we know this work can be hard. When our clients do the work and consistently implement what they learn, they make amazing progress that is felt by everyone at home!
We've seen the positive impact community supports have in helping families find success. If we are invited to be a part of your team, we will add research-based, developmentally appropriate parent coaching and collaborate to reinforce the progress plans already in place to keep you moving forward. Your social worker or case manager can contact us or make a referral.
These cases are accepted on an individual basis. We see the biggest results when adults are open to learning and practicing new skills and working through challenging situations using research based philosophies and techniques. We believe when you know better, you will do better! But you have to want to.
Wonderful! We love being invited to reach even more people! Because our trainings are customized to your group's needs, please contact Angie to work out the details. If your group is a member of the Southeast Service Cooperative, Angie will help coordinate this.
