The Love and Logic Institute is dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. Angie has been a trained facilitator of Love and Logic for over 20 years. She is honored to provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children. All the information provided in this class is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic®.
Timeout Behavior Coaching is pleased welcome Cynthia Wiest, MS, SLP-CCC as a 1:1 direct social communication skills coach for children.
Cynthia has over 30 years of professional experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist and elementary school teacher. Her passion is helping students make the connection between social communication and real life relationships.
She has facilitated summers camps with customized curriculum in social thinking and social communication. Cynthia has also written and presented family-engaging social communication workshops that include make-n-take activities to support the continued fun of learning at home.

Session One: "But Mom, I can't help it!" Tuning into my child and his needs
Develop a better understanding of behavior and the brain that will directly relate to understanding your child and how to support and empower them.
Session Two: "What do you need from me?" Helping caregivers guide their child through meltdowns
Does your child seem extra sensitive to adverse situations and have big feelings about almost everything? Learn actional ways to support your child through their emotions and help increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Session Three: "Why can't you just do it the first time?" Understanding more effective approaches to compliance
We all have a lot going on in our lives (and our brains!) and children are no different! Learn how to be more present for your child, help them manage distractions, and come up with a plan to be more productive while staying calm through it all.

Voices for Children is a multidisciplinary committee whose goal is to spread awareness and education about child abuse prevention in our community.
Timeout Behavior Coaching will be co-presenting a workshop on preventing bullying Monday, April 29. Check out the other free offerings each Monday and learn more to prevent child abuse and promote child abuse prevention.

Timeout Behavior Coaching will be co-presenting with Olmsted County Child and Family Services about our unique partnership at one of the largest conferences of its kind in the country – welcoming teachers, therapists, psychiatrists, counselors, social workers, infant and early childhood professionals, health care workers, parents and all others who support children prenatal to age 24.
