As of 1/6/25, we have a short wait list. We regularly assess client status and accept new families as our coaches are available. To get on the wait list, we recommend completing our referral/intake form as soon as possible. Submitting the form does not bind you to services, it just allows us to contact you when a coach is available. If you are no longer in need of services at that time, we will delete you from the list. No obligation.
You've made a great first step by being on this page. Your next step is to schedule a free 30 minute consultation with our owner, Angie. If you decide to move forward, you'll complete our Intake Form to get on the wait list. When a coach becomes available, we will contact you to see if you are still interested in services. If so, you'll be matched with a coach who will reach out to you for more information. If you no longer have a need, we will remove your name from our list.
We require a minimum of three sessions to connect deeper with your family and to determine the best direction. We know families have unique needs, so the number of sessions after that will vary, and you'll work that out with your coach.
We are dedicated to maintaining your trust and confidentiality, while holding ourselves to a high standard of service. We will work with you to address needs urgently and with great care.
A free 30 minute consultation is a casual virtual chat with our founder and head coach Angie to discuss your needs and how we can help. If children are present during the virtual chat, we'll be discreet during the conversation, while also brainstorming some immediate suggestions to support you. Billing information, additional paperwork, and all of your questions will be addressed during this free consultation. If you decide that coaching is what you and your family need, you'll then complete the Intake Form to get on the wait list.
We welcome collaboration and are grateful for your referrals. Please complete a referral to get your client on the wait list. A free consultation prior to the referral is optional, as once we have a coach available, we will reach out for additional information. Please inform your client or patient before you make a referral to ensure the family is willing to participate, and email their Release of Information to us at timeoutbehaviorcoaching@gmail.com or have them reach out to us directly.
A coach will request any additional documentation that will guide our work and then connect with the family. Depending on the case, our coaches will stay in communication with you as needed regarding the family's continuing of care.
Yes. All of this. Whether diagnosed or not, families who experience these symptoms still deserve the education, skills, and encouragement that are needed to live and cope in healthy ways. We've worked with people of all ages who experience complex struggles and know how difficult these situations can be on the whole family. The skills, strategies, and resources we share are specific to the behaviors we observe in-home and learn about from you. Although we do not provide therapeutic care or legal advice, we may suggest and encourage additional resources so you no longer feel alone in your struggles. Navigating this path can be challenging and uncertain. We believe all people have gifts and strengths that need to be identified and nurtured and we're on your team to help you on that journey.
We do not take insurance. If needed, will work with you to develop a payment plan so getting the help your family needs does not cause additional stress.
We currently accept private payments (Zelle, Paypal, Check and Venmo) and will work with community providers to identify additional resources that could support our services for families. Upon request, we can provide you with a statement of payment that you may provide to your tax advisor if applicable.
Plus! We want to be spending our time with families, not doing insurance paperwork!
You can expect progress! 98% of our families agree or strongly agree that they have made improvement while receiving parent coaching. This speaks to the work families are committed to doing and the relationship they have with their coach.
Coaching sessions are unique to your family and will include a mix of education, resources, skills practice, and family activities. You and your coach will determine how and when you meet, which could include online, in-home, or phone.
We know parenting isn't a 9-5 job and we expect needs arise after hours. We pride ourselves in helping you through challenging situations with text and phone support whenever possible during those hot moments!
Our coaches have years of personal and professional experience and training that helps them be sensitive to you and your family's needs and de-escalate situations. We are confident in giving you the right balance of accountability and encouragement, and we know this work can be hard. When our clients do the work and consistently implement what they learn, they make amazing progress that is felt by everyone at home!
We would be honored to be a part of your team as a parent coach and will add research-based, developmentally appropriate parenting skills and encouragement to your efforts. We'll also collaborate to reinforce the progress plans already in place to keep you moving forward. We know it takes a village and have seen how important it is to help your family stay connected to other supports you trust. Your social worker, lawyer, or case manager can contact us at the link above or make a referral.
These cases are accepted on an individual basis and a 30 minute free consultation is required. We see the biggest results when adults are open to learning and practicing new skills and working through challenging situations using research based philosophies and techniques. This includes working through our program, with a minimum of three sessions. We believe when you know better, you will do better! But you have to want to.
After the initial consultation, you would complete our Intake Form to get on our waitlist.
We will work with one or both parents to ensure focus is kept on the children and their needs during the process. With safety as our priority, it is our approach to help each parent identify the values and expectations they wish to establish and maintain in their home while using a cooperative style. We help guide families to prioritize open and honest communication, establish consistent rules and expectations, learn to, or continue to, respect each other's parenting styes, and focus on the child's well-being above personal conflicts. We'll help both parents actively work to create a stable parenting plan and make decisions that benefit the children.
Several members of our team are trained in, or have studied, co-parenting approaches and we are excited to be attending additional training June 2025 to become MN Rule 114 Alternative Dispute Resolution\Mediation certified!
Wonderful! We love being invited to reach even more people! Many of our coaches have created specialized content to fit a variety of needs, please contact Angie to request a topics list or to discuss additional details. We can travel to you or provide online training anywhere! If your group is a member of the Southeast Service Cooperative, Angie will help coordinate this. Let's get you on our calendar today!
